At various days during the FIFA World Cub, we continued our media campaign and flew the LAOLA-Banner above cities like Munich, Berlin and Dortmund. Always present were journalists from the print media. So, we got some coverage in newspapers like “Münchner AZ”, and “Bild”. All the fears about closed airspace became virtually irrelevant. We were always able to adapt to the local circumstances and operated mainly around the “Public Viewing Areas“. This gave us more contacts than we’ve would have got flying around a stadium. It also turned out that the FIFA never complained about our advertising flights. In the run up to the World Cup, the FIFA claimed often that she owns the rights to aerial advertising too. Unfortunately that discouraged most potential customers.
