Landsberied, Germany- January 14, 2005 - skygraphics AG announced today that it is now able to offer and deliver banners and aerial billboards to be attached on to helicopters including all necessary equipment. The billboards are produced in a special way. Letters and logos are inlays and not mounted or painted on top of a cloth. This allows skygraphics to come up with very lightweight banners featuring an exceptional bright contrast against the sky. Unlike banners towed by an aircraft, a helicopter-banner needs a greater level of elongation to ensure that the banner is properly aligned to the helicopter in flight. Therefore skygraphics is offering billboards made out of a special Nylon-material only and is limiting the maximum size to 1,000 m² or 10,760 sq.ft. respectively. Development is under way to offer larger billboards and use other Rip-Stop-materials, which will last much longer. Rip-stop is widely used with Paragliders, motorized parachutes, etc.
